It really depends on what they like. A dog%26#39;s life is pretty cool, They play a dog who learns tricks and solves problems to earn bones, not at all violent. They also have mini games vs other dogs such as tug o war. Both my daughter and son are enjoying this. It has a rating for the dogs ability to mark its territory. No violence profanity ect.
My daughter also likes ratchet and clank where you save the universe and collect bolts, you do have to kill aliens here, but no gore and no swearing. There are a number of games such as chicken little, shrek and such. you can look at ebgames for descriptions and user reviews and a few other sites. Sponge bob and madagascar are popular with her friends, but as my daughter states, there are few games for girls. I guess this means most are fighting games with male heros. Harvest Moon series is nice too and unoffensive.
